I`m a girl, so here.
Candy, Cards, cute little teddies, beanie babies,cd`s, a movie the girl likes.
Reply:My girlfriend loves mix cd%26#039;s and teddy bears.
Reply:An inexpensive gift that I think a woman would like from her mate is for him to cook dinner...and for those who can%26#039;t...get take out and perpetrate LOL. Run her bath water and wash her and than message her from head to toe. After all that you are bond to have urself a great Valentines Day also!!
Reply:Small box of candy, a plush animal, a CD, DVD, perfume, costume jewelry, take her to a movie, etc. Why do you need more than flowers? They don%26#039;t have to be roses...we women like any flowers! You can even get them at Wal-Mart SuperCenter now and don%26#039;t have to pay floral shop prices.
Reply:what about some chocolate or a card? ( i would want chocolate!) good luck!

Which flowers do you think most suit a thank you gift?
My friend%26#039;s parents recently allowed myself and my other friends to use their beach house for a holiday. We have bought them a bottle of wine and would like also to give them a bunch of flowers to say thank you, however I don%26#039;t want to get flowers that would be inappropriate for this gift. So, which flowers do you think best say thank you?
Which flowers do you think most suit a thank you gift?
I%26#039;d do a mixed basket (small) with a variety of flowers.
Reply:Carnations are nice because they are inexpensive, come in a huge variety of colours, and last for an extremely long time. Maybe you could pick up a bouquet with a mix of flowers that include carnations?
Reply:Flowers that cnotrast with the color of the bottle of whine. If the bottle is a dark color get light flowers. If the bottle is light get darker colored flowers. No roses and if they celebrate christmas you could get them christmas flowers.
Reply:Daisies are always so cheerful and friendly.
Reply:Red or Cherry Spider Lily/ Higanbana/ Lycoris radiata, whatever you want to call them.
Or some cute pink, red, and white cosmos would seems nice to me.
Reply:I would say roses with baby%26#039;s breath.
Reply:You could get them a plant--they last longer. I love star lillies--they%26#039;re really pretty. Hydrangeas are also pretty.
Reply:White flowers. They will match any room decor and are the most classy flowers you can get.
Call any florist or go on line, and take a look at their white arrangments.
Avoid holiday arrangments!

Reply:I would think nice fall flowers would be appropriate.

I'm getting married!! BUT what for gifts!?
I%26#039;m so lost! I%26#039;ve been trying to think of things to give for the gifts for those in my bridal party.
Flower girl gift?
1 bridesmaid gift?
1 Maid of Honor gift?
Parents gift?
Do I give my husband a gift?
I was thinking of giving my parents a %26quot;weekend away%26quot; where I pay for a hotel and gift cards to food places somewhere and then watch my bro, who has down syndrome.
For the Flower girl, she is about 10 and have really long hair so i was thinking of getting her one of those vanity sets with the nice silver brush/comb and then also a teddy bear that has a shirt or something saying %26quot;flower girl%26quot; I%26#039;d like to give her something that when shes a teen she won%26#039;t want to get rid of, ya know?
Then the bridemaid....I have no idea! shes really religious so i know she wont mind wearing a necklace for the wedding but not after. So i%26#039;m not thinking jewlery.
My MOH I love to death and she would love anything I give her. She just got married.
Any thoughts? Thanks!!
I%26#039;m getting married!! BUT what for gifts!?
Okay breath lol.
Your idea for your parents is great. Go with it.
You can get your husband a gift, but you don%26#039;t have to. A nice gift would be to invest in some honeymoon lingerie. Trust me he will appreciate it. Your girls are all different but they may appreciate a personalized gift. Here is a good website, browse through and you may see something that is perfect. http://www.americanbridal.com/gifts.html
I think a certificate for a massage and a nice card would be a perfect gift, or even a day at the spa. Every girl loves to be pampered.
Reply:i got my girls bags to put their things in, and they r huge w thier names on them. they r my wedding colors
Reply:You can personalize each gift.
If you know the person get them what you would like them to have.
Attendents of the wedding usually receive matching jewelry to wear at the wedding so they all match.
Parents are required to receive a gift so that is up to you.
Husband, Yes it is nice to get him something.
Flowergirl sounds like a nice gift, also the jewelry angle is nice.
The jewerly can go in personalized box or something.
Groomsman there are a ton of things.

Do you ever send a Thank you note for a gift, flowers, dinner, etc.?
I send thank yous for a dinner party we%26#039;ve attended, flowers, gifts, etc. Anytime someone has gone out of there way, I try to write a little note.
Do you ever send a Thank you note for a gift, flowers, dinner, etc.?
I try to do this as well, but often I am to lazy... my solution is to %26quot;gush%26quot; thanks upon the person when present or to call. But we all know that a little thank you written down carries so much more value. Report It
Reply:I send thank you notes for kindnesses that are shown to me whether it be a gift, dinner or even a kind word of encouragement.
I always make sure to thank the giver of a tangible gift, even if it%26#039;s not a major gift. The gratitude shown through a written thank you note can really make the giver feel special. Also, it lets the giver know that you really appreciate the fact that he or she thought about you.
It%26#039;s also important to send notes to family members or even spouses. Often, people forget to write notes of thanks for gifts given by those closest to them. Thanking your spouse, brother, mom or dad for gifts can mean a lot to them.
While it can seem overwhelming to write thank you notes, it%26#039;s important to remember that you don%26#039;t have to write a novel of gratitude. A few lines of appreciation are sufficient.
But probably the best reason to send thank you notes is that you get to give a gift to the person who gave you gift. In this case, you%26#039;re giving the gift of mail that%26#039;s not a bill! Anyone would be appreciative of that!
Reply:A little note is always appreciated, I%26#039;m ashamed to admit that I even have personalized ones, haha!
I also encourage my children to write notes to classmates, or friends that remember their birthdays or are nice to them
Reply:Always send them when I dont get to see someone who sends you something.
Reply:Yes. Thank you notes are always appreciated. And they%26#039;re so easy! Just dash off a few lines and you%26#039;re done.

What are you all doing for wedding party gifts: Flower girl, ring bearer, bridesmaids and groomsman?
I want some unique ideas for my wedding party! Not the standard engraved flask or engraved mug. I want something inexpensive as well!!!!!
What are you all doing for wedding party gifts: Flower girl, ring bearer, bridesmaids and groomsman?
For the flower girl and ring bearer it depends on their ages. If they are young they will appreciate a nice toy. Ask their moms what they like. If they are older, say 7 or more get them gift cards. Libby Lu%26#039;s is great for the girl, Wal Mart, Barnes and Noble or Build A Bear would do for both. At that age they know what gift cards are and like the freedom of %26#039;shopping%26#039; for them selves.
As for the Bride%26#039;s maids, try the jewelry they will wear at the wedding. I have a bride that bought 12 sets of earrings and necklaces from Ebay for a total of $30. They were beautiful.
As for the men, that if usually left up to your groom to handle but if you want try money clips. They are not too expensive and it is a nice to to have their name or monogram engraved. This is something that they will actually use and keep in their pockets for years to come.
Something I%26#039;ve also seen this summer at three different weddings is totes with their names engraved and often they are the wedding colors. I think these are really cool. Especially when you photographer comes in to take the prewedding pics the girls can toss their junk into the bags so the room is not cluttered in the pics.
Reply:All of my bridesmaids have been my best friends for years, so for theres I was really creative, I got a whole buch of tote bags that had picture slots, on the front, right, and back sides, and I went and raided all my photo albums, and I put all the pictures of us together through the years, in the slots, and then on the handle I had their initials stitched, and inside the bags, I put a bunch of little stuff, slippers, candles, and a note from me saying how much they meant to me. For the groomsman, my husband got their favorite football teams hats and jerseys, with their names on it instead. Our flowergirls got regular little girl things, dora toys and little purses. And my nephew who was the ringbearer, got all new football stuff.
But anyways my fav gift was the bridesmaids gift, for each one it was under like 20 dollars, and they were crying more than I was. Hope you figure out what to do.
Reply:For gifts, I%26#039;m spending about 100 per girl for our beach themed wedding.
However, I%26#039;m also taking my Matron of Honor out for a spa/massage day, and I%26#039;ll probably do a brunch for my other girls.
Gifts:
My Matron of Honor and my bridesmaid: Real pearl and diamond pendant necklaces in gold, with gold chains.
My oldest future stepdaughter: (Junior Bridesmaid, age 13) a gold pendant with four dolphins (she saw it and mentioned it reminded her of the four of us...her father, myself, her sister and herself) and a gold chain.
My youngest future stepdaugher: (Bridal Attendant, age 11) a gold charm bracelet with a sea turtle charm in colored enamel...fits her personality (very colorful, humorous child).
Reply:flower girl a personalized blanket in a little gift basket with stuff for her to use during the reception coloring book, candy, and a doll
Ring bearer same just add a car or ji Jo%26#039;s instead
Bridesmaids Jewelry for the wedding a nice necklace with a stone to match there dresses or diamonds or pearls maybe
Groomsmen cuff links or watches or maybe if you want to keep with the flask thing make a basket with like a little mini bar in it
Reply:I%26#039;m not having a flower girl or ring bearer. For the bridesmaids, I%26#039;m doing a few small things. I%26#039;m getting small totes with their initials on them and putting a necklace and earrings that I%26#039;m making for them to wear on the day of the wedding, a charm bracelet, and a silk handkerchief that my mother brought back from China in each tote. The necklaces will be freshwater pearl with sterling silver initial pendants. For the charm bracelets, I%26#039;m having a charm cake at the bridesmaids luncheon and I will attach the charms they pull from the cake to their bouquets for the ceremony and then they can put them on the bracelet. It will already have a bridesmaid or maid of honor charm on it. My fiance went more traditional and got his groomsmen monogrammed money clips. I%26#039;m not going to do a full monogram on the bridesmaids stuff, just their first initial, because two of them are already engaged, so their last initial will change. I%26#039;ve always heard that its best to give them something individual since they don%26#039;t all necessarily have the same taste, so I%26#039;m going to throw in a $10 gift card to each of their favorite stores. I didn%26#039;t want to do anything expensive, so I decided to do a bunch of little stuff and personalize it for each girl.

Which do you prefer to receive as a gift, flowers or chocolate?
depends.
if I get chocolate I share them- so do I want to share with the person giving them to me? lol.
I love flowers and I don%26#039;t get them often enough- I send them to others all the time- I even get a discount because of it. Sad eh? and I sometimes I don%26#039;t even get a thank you.

Wine is fine, but only if your not drinking alone. And then after it%26#039;s all gone all you got left is an empty bottle and a nasty headache from all the wine.
Candy isn%26#039;t dandy but it%26#039;s all gone in a while and all you have left is an empty box and 5 extra pounds on your buttocks and thighs
The Card--I%26#039;ll take the card becasue I can enjoy that for years to come and I don%26#039;t have to toss it away unless I want to.

Reply:I don%26#039;t drink wine and I%26#039;m gonna cut back on candies, but I really enjoy receiving a card.
I tell my family, even if they don%26#039;t have anything else to give to me for my birthday/x-mas, I would really appreciate a card.
Thank you for asking. God bless.
Reply:I like flowers because they are pretty, but a card lasts longer.
Reply:flowers!! and just spending time with that person is good too! %26lt;3
Reply:I will take whatever I can get!
Reply:I don%26#039;t like getting flowers. They are pretty for a while and then they die and then throw them away. I%26#039;d refer getting potted flowers or something I can plant out of doors and watch it grow.
